More Detail
A new series of books addressing key emotional and mental health issues from a Christian perspective.
Anxiety is a feeling we all experience from time to time, however over the last 10 years we’ve seen a significant increase in anxiety within young people, alongside a rise in the number of adolescents receiving an anxiety diagnosis.
Perhaps you are a family member looking to support a young person in your family who is experiencing a lot of anxious thoughts right now. Or maybe you are a professional who is looking to understand how to help and support young people you work with. We’ve written this to help dispel some myths about anxiety and provide some practical tools to support someone who is anxious, experiencing an anxiety disorder or having panic attacks.
The book is divided into three sections:
- Recognising the issue- identifying when anxiety may be becoming an issue for a young person
- Understanding the issue- A comprehensive look at the triggers and situations that can contribute to a young person’s anxiety
- Responding to the issue- A range of practical ideas and strategies you can use with young people to help them understand and manage their anxiety
Also available in packs of 10 so that churches can provide them for all parents.
