The last 18 months of the COVID-19 pandemic have stretched, challenged and reshaped church youth ministry like never before in our lifetimes. There’s have been highs and lows, opportunities but also lost connections, innovation but increasingly personal exhaustion. And that sense of tiredness is running deep for many of us: we’re spiritually drained after keeping things going for so long. This new season of Open Me is about being honest about that. Acknowledging what’s going on in our own hearts and spirits and finding our way back to the restoring love of Jesus. Our guide for that journey is the Psalms. Each week we’ll take one Psalm and explore it together. We’ll ask you to read it each day, and allow its truth to touch you, even if that sometimes means acknowledging that all is not quite well within our souls. In doing so, we pray that we rediscover and reconnect with the God who is calling us back to Himself.
